The compensation strategy to attract and retain fund managers is a key decision in operating a successful investment advisory firm. This analysis helps to identify the impact of two different compensation approaches – maximising fund performance or encouraging cooperation among their managers – and the characteristics of investment advisors who choose cooperative or competitive incentive schemes.

This is the latest book by Miguel Pina e Cunha, co-authored with Marco Berti (UTS Business School), Ace Simpson (Brunel Business School) and Stewart R. Clegg (University of Stavanger Business School and Nova SBE). It will be released in July 2021 and comprises a succinct overview of the field of organizational paradox theory, exploring contradictions and tensions in organizational settings. By conceptually mapping the field, it offers guidance through the literature on paradox, giving space for new interpretations and applications of the concept.

This study conducted by Alex Armand, Paul Atwell, and Joseph Flavian Gomes, published in the American Economic Review, examines the role of FM radio in mitigating violent conflict and was highlighted in our latest research video.

The Access to Health Care – Citizens' Choices 2020 Report is finally available. It analyzed healthcare access in Portugal by focusing on the citizens' first-contact decisions with the healthcare system.
