Nova Marketing Student Club – NOMA!
In 2019/2020, Nova Marketing Club (NOMA) participated in Nova SBE’s sustainability project on social media. They coordinated with the Sustainability Hub to gather recycling best practices, adapted to the new types of trash flooding our Campus upon the opening of Pingo Doce Go.
They also developed four pro bono projects during this academic year, partnering with different organizations.
- One of the projects was with Teach for Portugal, an organization focused on the quality of education, where the team had to understand what is most valued by candidates in order to better answer to them and to improve the positioning as an employer and also develop a communication plan involving their different stakeholders.
- As for Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação de Alcoitão, a medical organization focused on improving the well-being and health of patients, the team developed a communication plan to create a bigger awareness on the cities around the Center.
The students of the Marketing Club finished the work they had proposed. They did an excellent job. We were all pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and quality of the work. Many congratulations to Nova SBE, which so well prepares the students. Congratulations to the Marketing Club for providing these initiatives to the community. To the students, a big thank you for the valuable contribution they gave to our institution. - Client’s testimonial
- Thirdly, they developed a project for ABLA, an organization that engages directly with communities in several ways, involving education, elders, physically/mentally disabled people and even dealing with poverty, hunger, sanitation, and infrastructure in Africa. The team’s goal was to increase the frequency and monetary volume of donations, by understanding how donors could become more engaged with ABLA.
- Finally, NOMA developed a project for Associação Quinta Essência, an organization focused on improving the well-being of mentally disabled people, for which the team developed a communication plan in order for them to better reach their target and so increase the donations that are fundamental for the Organization.
From April to June, the QE Association integrated a pro bono consulting project with Nova Marketing Club to develop a strategic communication plan. We are counting on the plan being a valuable work tool that allows the QE Association to establish a more effective and impactful communication towards its mission, vision, and values. - Miguel Mata, Director of the Research and Development Center in Quinta Essência.
