Impact of COVID-19 on Social Organizations in Portugal report

Nova SBE Leadership for Impact and Data Science Knowledge Centers join to gauge the impact of the pandemic on social sector activities and operations.

In partnership with the Leadership for Impact Knowledge Center, the Data Science Knowledge Center launched two rounds of the survey addressed to Portuguese Social Organizations, in order to gauge the impact of the pandemic on social sector activities and operations, their experience since the beginning of the emergency period and their future expectations.

This study aims to promote the general knowledge of the population about the impact of current context in the social sector, so that the necessary solutions to support this sector can be created in a timely and collaboratively way.

Nova SBE launches the 4th edition of the Nova SBE Road to Impact Report!

We are pleased to announce that Nova SBE has just released the 4th edition of the Nova SBE Road to Impact Report, a document that aggregates the school's sustainability path during the last year, fully aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which are the universal language regarding how the school addresses impact. The report merges with the Research Report, which compiles the most relevant research projects and studies developed by the school's knowledge centers.

The importance of bees on our planet

Insect pollinators are a key element for the equilibrium of the ecosystems that surround us, and bees are an important subgroup because they are responsible for pollinating around 60 to 70 % of the world's total flowering plant species. However, extinction rates have jumped from 100 to 1000 times the normal rates because of many external conditions, like climate change, urbanization. At this point, the questions are the following: is the importance of these little in-sects clear to our society? And, are any measures being developed to avoid these risks?
