COMPIT

The Inclusive Community Forum presents a pilot project of the Journey to Empowerment

Developed in the context of the Inclusive Community Forum (ICF), ComPIT is one of the projects of the Journey to Empowerment, and answers to the lack of internship opportunities in companies for students with an Individual Transition Plan (PIT).


This innovative project, aims to support students with special educational needs to find internships that promote their transition to after school life. This way, ComPIT connects schools looking for internship opportunities for they students with PIT, and companies available to discover talent in young students full of determination and ambition.

Mindsets have evolved, but women continue to be discriminated in the labor market. Why?

The statistics are known. Women have a higher qualification rate than men, but they earn worse (for equal jobs) and are more precarious. When it comes to reaching positions of responsibility, their lives are more difficult (and the bigger the companies, the worse). The topic is old, solutions take time to take effect, and the issue raises concern among young people. Marta Everard and Rita Mendes, Nova SBE students and members of the Women on Board club, explain how they envision their future work.
