MAZE Impact: 4 years of Social Impact Bonds

Portugal has been leading the way for social innovation worldwide and is now the third country in the world with more Social Impact Bonds. Learn more about this innovative tool that aligns incentives of private investors, social organizations, and public sector entities.

After four years of managing Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) in Portugal, MAZE reflects on the impact created by these innovative financing instruments for social innovation.

MAZE supported and managed three different SIBs: "Projeto Família", preventing children and youth at risk from unnecessary institutionalization; "Faz-Te Forward" and "Bootcamps Academia de Código", both tackling unemployment through capacity-building programmes.

Advancing Decision Sciences: Insights from the Inaugural European Decision Sciences Day at Nova SBE

Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) marked a significant milestone on September 22, 2023, as it hosted the inaugural European Decision Sciences Day. Co-organized by Sreyaa Guha, the event brought together 26 Decision Sciences (DS) scholars from eminent European business schools, forming a collaborative initiative founded by Enrico Diecidue (INSEAD) and Matthias Seifert (IE Business School). This gathering aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, discourse, and exploration of the latest advancements in Decision Analysis.
