Cátia Batista, scientific director of Nova SBE NOVAFRICA Knowledge Center, was invited by SIC Notícias to express her opinion on the irregular migration to Portugal. For Cátia Batista, there is an urgent need to create policies for receiving and integrating migrants to avoid “dramatic situations”, especially during the pandemic, so that those who want to come to Europe can do so legally and without facing extreme risks.
