Financial Times recognizes Nova SBE as Portugal’s best business school and one of the best in Europe

Nova SBE maintains its position as the top business school in Portugal and is ranked 21st overall in the Financial Times ranking of European Business Schools.

The Financial Times ranking of European business schools is widely regarded as a prestigious benchmark in higher education, offering valuable insights into the continent's leading business institutions

Through its rigorous criteria, including academic excellence, faculty expertise, career outcomes, and global reputation, this ranking assesses the top 90 business schools in Europe across various categories such as international master's in management, Executive Education, MBA, and EMBA programs. Institutions featured in this ranking demonstrate a strong commitment to providing quality education, conducting innovative research, and maintaining industry relevance, preparing future business leaders to tackle complex global challenges.

In the 2023 Financial Times ranking released on December 5th, Nova SBE reaffirmed its position as Portugal's premier business school, climbing three places since the previous year to secure the 21st spot among the top schools in Europe – the highest ranking ever achieved by a Portuguese institution. Additionally, in the International Executive Training ranking, Nova SBE placed 15th in Europe and 18th worldwide. Its global positioning improved to 11th place, marking a six-place rise in the ranking between 2021 and 2023, while its international master's in management program secured the 15th spot.

These accomplishments underscore Nova SBE's leadership within Portugal and its upward trajectory on the global stage. Dean Pedro Oliveira commented that these results are a testament to the school's commitment to excellence, stating, "The confirmation of the excellence we practice every day in our community".

On a national level, the Financial Times also acknowledges the excellence of Portuguese higher education, highlighting five other Portuguese schools in the TOP 50, with overall ranking improvements. Pedro Oliveira emphasized that these achievements reflect Portugal's growing international recognition as a destination for education and contribute significantly to its global reputation in higher education.

Overall, Nova SBE's continued success in the Financial Times rankings underscores its dedication to excellence and its significant impact on the Portuguese and global business education landscape.
