Nova SBE joins the National Innovation Prize as knowledge partner

Nova SBE, dedicated to fostering innovation both on and off campus, has recently partnered with this program, emphasizing its focus on entrepreneurship and innovation

The National Innovation Prize is an initiative developed by Jornal de Negócios, BPI and Claranet, in partnership with ANI and COTEC Portugal. It also has Galp as its sponsor and Nova SBE as a knowledge partner, with support from the Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem. Pedro Oliveira, Nova SBE´s Dean, will also participate as member of the jury.

This program has the aims to recognize Portugal's top talent and entrepreneurial projects driving innovation and digital transformation, with the aim of fostering a culture of innovation nationwide.The initiative has two categories dedicated to different areas: One focusing on business segments, including griculture and industry, tourism and real estate, energy, utilities and infrastructure, retail and e-commerce, TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom), health, banking, insurance, services, education, the public sector and non-profit sector or entities; and other cathegory while the other category refers to technology and assesses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, the best workplace or workplace transformation, best web 3.0, sustainable tech,  cybersecurity and software and application development. Contrary to its first edition, which had more than 100 applications, this year’s edition, relaunched in January 2024, introduces new elements, such as new awards to deliver categorized by organization size ( Large Organization, Small and Medium-sized enterprises and Startup, and the “Personality Award”).Furthermore, a podcast starting in the beginning of march.

Advancing Decision Sciences: Insights from the Inaugural European Decision Sciences Day at Nova SBE
